How Does the Internet Time Card Work?

Think of it as a time clock that uses the Internet. As a manager or business owner, your job is to train your people to log in when they start work in the morning and log out when they finish work at night. The time card system collects the log ins and outs in a work history. As the payroll administration you log on once a week and place a checkmark on the login of record and a checkmark on the logout of record. This marks (with precision) the starting time and ending time of each employee.

What if they forget to log out?

This is a common problem. Fortunately this time card system accommodates all manner of employee mistakes. As the payroll person, you log in each week and setup your employees for pay. Basically this is deciding on when they started and quit for each day. In a period of minutes you can accurately setup payroll based on the actual times they logged in and out.

What if the log in multiple times?

This is customary on an online time keeping system. Each employee may have up a a dozen entries for each day. It is easy to determine when they arrived and ended their day. The other log in entries, while retained for history purposes, are ignored for payroll purposes. Each day has two significant entries - when they started and when the ended.

What about adjustments after the fact?

After you have determined when each employee started and ended their work day, you make adjustments. The system allows for lunch, as well as other positive or negative time adjustments. The system allows you to place a note when you make an adjustment for the day so you have completely accurate timekeeping records?

Can I tell if my workers are logged in?

Yes. The system has an In-and-Out board built in. The nice thing is you can see if your workers are working, even if they are in different office or citites. Think of it as a virtual In and Out Board at the Office. Instead of using a white board, employee use the Internet. They sign in when they start work and the sign out when the finish.

Can I use this with our Company Intranet?

Yes, typically Internet Time Card is used as a sign-in function, to a company Intranet for example. The act of signing in (to the Intranet) records the employee, the time, and the IP address. The system tracks time, lunch, etc. to give you an accurate picture of where people are and how long they work.

Does the system keep a history of payroll?

Yes, the system records everything you do from the time you start using it. You have the payroll, as well as the underlying log in and log out times of your employees. The system provides complete, accurate time keeping records beyond anything you could do manually or with a time clock.

Is there any software to install?

No, the system is remotely hosted, meaning you don't have to do a thing. It is a service. Sign up and begin using the service.

Can I brand the login screen with my logo?

Yes, you can design the login screen.
